Health and supplements packaging
Custom supplement packaging and vitamin boxes
Printed cartons, tub boxes and subscription mailers for UK supplement, vitamin and wellbeing brands. Each carton is sized to the bottle, tub, pouch or sachet it holds, laid out with room for the directions, ingredient and batch information your product carries, and printed to one specification across the range. Tamper-evident options and inserts are available, and orders start from 50 boxes.

Overview
Clear information, consistent ranges
Supplement packaging does two jobs at once. It has to look like a trustworthy, premium product on a shelf or a product page, and it has to carry more information than most categories: directions, ingredients, quantities per serving, warnings and batch details, often on a small carton. Planning the panel layout before the design is finished is what keeps both jobs working.
Most brands sell a range rather than a single product, with several formulas in the same bottle or tub size and a colour or pattern for each. We fix the board, finish and layout grid once and change only the colour and product panel, so every carton in the range reads as the same brand and new products can be added without starting again.
The primary container, whether a bottle, tub, blister or sealed pouch, protects the product itself. The carton is secondary packaging: it presents, informs and protects the container in transit and on the shelf. That is why we specify it around the exact container you use, including the cap and any seal.
Challenges
What goes wrong with supplement packaging, and how we specify against it
Information that will not fit
Directions, ingredients and warnings added after the design is finished end up squeezed into tiny type. We lay out the dieline with defined zones for each information panel from the start, so the text has room and the front panel stays uncluttered.
Cartons that do not fit the container
Bottles and tubs from different suppliers vary, and caps and induction seals add height. A carton made to a nominal size can be loose or impossible to close. We work from measured container dimensions, or a sample container, before the cutter guide is drawn.
Inconsistent colour across a range
A range printed at different times can drift in colour, which undermines trust on a shelf. Pantone spot colours for the brand and product colours, on the same board and lamination, keep every carton matched between sizes and reprints.
Evidence of opening
Customers want to know a product has not been opened before they bought it. Tamper-evident features on the carton, such as a tear strip or a seal label across the tuck, show clearly if a carton has been opened. They add to the primary container's own seal rather than replace it.
Heavy tubs in light cartons
Protein and powder tubs are heavy and bulky. A tuck end base can open under the weight, so we use a crash lock bottom and a heavier board, or a corrugated box for larger tubs and multipacks.

Materials
Board and materials for supplement packaging
Most supplement cartons are coated white board for sharp small text and consistent colour. Figures are typical and vary by grade and mill; the exact board is confirmed on your quotation.
| Specification | Typical range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Folding boxboard (FBB) and SBS | 300–400 GSM | Smooth, bright board that holds fine text and brand colours accurately, for most bottle and sachet cartons. |
| Heavier carton board | 400–500 GSM | For larger tubs and glass bottles, with a crash lock base. |
| Kraft board | 300–400 GSM | A natural look for plant-based and minimal brands; small text needs good contrast on brown board. |
| E flute corrugated board | About 1.5 mm | For subscription mailers, multipacks and large powder tubs. |
Finishes
Finishes that suit the sector
Matt lamination
A clean, understated look that protects small text and colours from scuffing.
Gloss lamination
Bright, saturated colour for sports nutrition and colour-coded ranges.
Soft-touch lamination
A premium feel for beauty-from-within and wellbeing ranges.
Foil blocking (hot foil stamping)
A foil logo or product name for premium lines.
Spot UV
A gloss highlight on the product name or icon against a matt background.
Supplement and vitamin boxes
Vitamin and supplement bottles and small tubs usually sit in a reverse tuck or crash lock carton sized to the container with its cap. The front panel carries the brand and product name, while side and back panels hold directions, ingredients and batch information. A consistent layout across the range helps customers find the same details on every product.
Health and wellbeing product boxes
Wellbeing products such as oils, balms, pillow sprays and self-care gift sets need the same careful sizing and information layout as supplements. We print the artwork you approve and place your text exactly where you specify; the content, and any claims it makes, remain your responsibility, so check them before you sign off the proof.
Sachet and stick-pack cartons
Sachets and stick packs are sold in counts, so the carton is sized to the stack or row of sachets with a little clearance for loading. A seal end carton or a tuck end with a tear strip makes opening evident, and a dispensing perforation lets customers take one sachet at a time.
Gummy, capsule and pouch cartons
Gummies and capsules sold in sealed pouches can go into a carton for shelf presence, or a window carton that shows the pouch. The carton must suit the pouch's filled shape, which is less regular than a bottle, so we size it from a filled sample rather than the flat pouch dimensions.
Subscription and multi-month packs
Direct-to-customer supplement brands often send one to three months of product at a time. A printed mailer box sized to the bottles or pouches, with a card insert, keeps them upright and presents the delivery as a set. It can be printed inside with usage reminders or a reorder prompt.
Health and supplements questions
Questions buyers ask
Anything not covered here, put it in the notes on your quote and we will answer it directly.
Ask on your quoteWhat box is best for a supplement bottle?
A reverse tuck or crash lock folding carton in coated white board, sized to the bottle with its cap. For glass bottles or heavier tubs, a crash lock base is the safer choice.
Can you fit all our label information on a small carton?
We lay out the dieline with zones for directions, ingredients, warnings, barcode and batch details before the design is finished, which gives the text the most room. Send us your full copy early so we can check it fits at a legible size.
Do you check the claims or ingredients on our packaging?
No. The content of your packaging, including any product claims, ingredients and warnings, is your responsibility. We print exactly the artwork you approve.
Can cartons be tamper-evident?
Yes. A tear strip, a glued seal end or a seal label across the tuck shows clearly if the carton has been opened. These work alongside the seal on the bottle or tub itself.
Can you keep colours consistent across our range?
Yes. We print brand and product colours as Pantone spot colours on the same board and lamination for every carton, which keeps them matched between sizes and reprints.
Can you supply boxes for subscription orders?
Yes. Printed mailer boxes with a card insert suit monthly or multi-month supplement subscriptions. Send us the container sizes and how many go in each box.
What is the minimum order for supplement cartons?
Orders start from 50 boxes. For a range, tell us the quantity for each product and we will confirm the options on your quotation.
How long does a supplement packaging order take?
It depends on the style, board, finishes and quantity. Tell us your required delivery date and our team will confirm whether the timing is achievable.
